Expense Tracking

iXpenseIt is an expense tracker that allows you to track all your business and personal expenses. You can create any number of categories for your expenses, track mileage, and it can take a photo of your receipts for archiving. It also has the ability to chart your finances and export the data to .csv, HTML or email for external processing.

News & Information

For up-to-date news and information from my favourite RSS feeds, I use the Web Feeds application. This is a very useful RSS reader that allows you to add your favourite sites, like BBC News, or iOpening Podcasts for example and provides a neat and concise interface. It also lets you open up the full story with it’s built in web browser. Very useful.

Communication

Three apps stand out for me here for use with Instant Messaging, Communication and Social Networking.

 

BeejiveIM is an integrated Instant Messaging (IM) client that allows you to communicate with your co-workers and friends using a variety of the well-known IM clients such as AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk and MSN Messenger.

 

Fring integrates with your Skype account (plus others) and allows you to make free Skype-Skype calls over the WiFI network. Great for when you are in a WiFi hotspot such as The Clpud and want to make free calls on your iPhone.

 

Facebook integrates with the Web version of this application. You can update your status, read news feeds, add friends and let people know where you are with a simple and easy to use interface.
